Just for fun, I’m going to periodically check the Pirate’s current standings and relate that to their standings during the past years. In honor of Mother’s Day, we’ll start with the standings after yesterday’s win for the Moms.

After this game I couldn't wait for an update!

Stumbled upon this factoid:

2012 Pirates through 76 games: 41-35
2013 Pirates through 76 games: 46-30

Five more wins by replacing Barajas, Bedard, Correia, Hammer and finding a working platoon at 1B and RF.

If I get time at work this week I'll go back and see how long it took the previous 20 Pirates teams to win 46 games.

They are now +17. scary things is the run differential. pretty tight. 302-268
