Pirates take 3 of 4, Grilli's 15th save out of 15 chances and Baseball Tonight talks about Matt Harvey the whole segment on the game.

Par for the course.

What should be the major discussion amongst pirate fans is the emergence of Jenmar Gomez. With Liriano looking good on Saturday, an improved Locke and of course the crafty veterans Burnett and Rodriguez the rotation is looking great. Lets get Gomez a little more stretched out, he's proving himself. That 2 seam and sinker are nasty with the control he's displaying. Mix in the slider and changeups and he has hitters way off balance.

No reason to rush Morton and Cole right now. Depth in starting pitchers is looking great throughout the system.

Enough about Matt Harvey - let's talk about you.

What do YOU think of Matt Harvey?

How bout telling me about Starling Marte? I would like to hear about Starling Marte.

If Starling Marte played in New York or Boston, they would be talking MVP.

Man alive! If Cutch and/or Marte played in one of the big cities they'd be revered as gods.

I haven't watched Baseball Tonight ever since MLB Network became available. They are irrelevant to anyone that isn't New York, Chicago, Boston, or LA.

They were calling the guy Sterling Marte almost all through April.

It was bogus anyways. Talked about how his velocity was down, blah, blah. I watched the game and remember plenty of 96 MPH and above fastballs. Not everyone can average 95 during the game and then in the 9th become his own closer and start hitting 100 on the gun. There's only one of them.

What do I think of Harvey? Good young talent. Too early for the hype but ESPN needed something. They had to stretch, he was facing the pirates.

Cutch called MLB network after the phillies series, complaining about all they were talking about was the phillies.

He's probably my favorite non-Pirate. I would ashamed if I didn't catch it.

Agreed. The Pirates need to prove they have staying power before they'll get sustained national attention again.
