Lefty (no. 1 son) is 3 days into spring training for his 2nd year of indy ball with the Freedom Pro Baseball League, an indy league with 3 teams in the Phx. area and one team in Prescott. His team, the Centennials, have moved from Scottsdale to Goodyear where they will play in the Reds/Indians ST home. His arm if fine and ready to go. Season starts play May 18. Hope it lasts the season. If attendance isn't any better, I have my doubts if it will last. Season has been extended from 60 to 90 games for the 2113 season. Here is a link to the league website:

Best of luck. If he is dealing in the upper 80's or low 90's, he has a future, what with the whole unfair "left-handed" thing. :D

I was at a carnival a few weeks back and was hitting 31 on the radar clock with my knuckleball. I'm a lefty.

If the Pirates need a lefty out of the bullpen, Johnstown is closer than Altoona or Indianapolis. And I'll be cheaper.

Good luck to him, Az. He'll have a lot of people rooting for him from this board.
