I never considered this, but since the Bucs have yet to dump Sanchez, he could take Gomez place as long guy in pen for now....since he only threw about 5 pitches last night.

He should be dumped. I don't want him on the mound in any capacity for the Pirates. He is SO BAD why does he get any sort of chance.

In theory a decent idea, upon consideration just terrible.

Sancho has shown no ability to get outs consistently.

He's done. No use putting him in any game at any time to give up hits/walks/runs.

12.71 ERA (11.1 IP/16 ER), 21 H (5 HR), 2.559 WHIP, 16.7 H/9, 4.0 HR/9, 6.4 BB/9

That's worse than his three-start stint with the Rockies last year. Seriously ridiculous. :o   :?

I don't disagree with that and think 100% he should be gone...but what I meant is that maybe we did not blow our wad last night...that Sanchez would be available for the pen in the Gomez role.

..and let's not forget the game a couple weeks ago when he stunk up the first inning with two or three runs and it was subsequently rained out. Throw those stats in there and it would be even WORSE!
