The Spring Training schedule is out. Hope to see some of you "apologists" and "enablers" down here in Florida come March. 8-)

Were you a car salesman or did you win the hunt with Sarah Palin for a Day Sweepstakes?

Hehehe

Care to expound on that Elmer? After reading the vitriole that is being spewed on this board lately, pages on end, I would be careful with the accusations.

The comment wasn't posted as a shot at you personally, rather this comment about the Pirates signing two pitchers from India:

"Rumor has it that they gave up their jobs from the help call desk in the IT Department for Expedia.com. Gosh, now we have outsourced our pitching staff."

Now, can you imagine if somone -- especially an unpopular poster -- made a similar comment using stereotypical job choices of African Americans?

I can totally understand you being upset by these signings, especially when players like your son miss out. But I think you have a strong enough case based on abilities that you don't need to place the race card.

The whole thread is here below. I'm not the only one who thought that was out of line:

Come on. Letterman tells the same sort of joke about NY taxi drivers practically every week. I think people are being a little over sensitive.

I was not playing the race card. I played the "that's the way it seems to work in America these days card." Funny how you posted it directly after my post. I beg to disagree.
