The Pirates and Curve also signed an agreement to keep them the AA team through 2018.

Starling Marte ties it 4-4 with a grand slam off Watson. He's 2 for 2 on the day.

Kind of demoralizing to lose to a minor league team.

They didn't lose to a minor league team. We were there, and they mixed the teams together throughout the day. Pirates pitched for Altoona. Curve position players and pitchers played for the Pirates. The only bad part was that J-Mac got rocked in his one inning, but that could be considered to bode well for the future as most AA players make the majors. Other than that, it was a fun day for the fans. The mascots goofed off with the players, and the players talked to the fans. It was more about McCutcheon playing around with the Tuna Mascot than it was to see if we could beat our own minor league team. If was a fun day, and a great day to be a Pirate fan. Keep your head up.
