My favorite memory is seeing the Pirates sweep Willie Mays and the SF Giants in a July Sunday doubleheader at Forbes Field in 1960.
A guy named Joe Christopher won the second game with a towering home run over the left centerfield fence to seal the deal for the Buccos. It was also great back then to listen to the radio broadcasts of Bob Prince and Jim Woods, while growing up in Union County in central PA in the 50's. Thanks for allowing me to post all the PSAC and Div II football info on this website in the Fall. Hope to be back again come the end of the summer. Go Pirates!!

Favorite All-Time Favorite Pirate: The Great One
On the board since: I started when I had a Pentium 133 chip and a Compuserv account? What does that translate to?
Favorite Pirate Moment: A couple here. Attending the Luke Walker "almost" no-hitter as a kid. Attending the final game at Forbes Field as a kid. Attending the final home game of the year at TRS with then 7-yo daughter and watching her get lots of pats on the head, baseballs and like from the Bucs as they tromped past on the way to the locker room after the game.
Thing you may not know about me. I have a family member who is currently the GM of an American League club.

So did I !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sat on the first base side, up high and down the line so I had a good cross sectional view of the Dodger Double in the 9th.

Some friends of mine and I drove down for the day from WNY. We went through the scorecard to find who would pinch hit and picked him because he was the only one we hadn't heard of. One of my friends got mugged that day between levels of TRS.... 8-) 8-)
