That first round pick rule needs to go.

Boras manages to get Lohse paid with almost no leverage, houdini.

The Brewers just got 2-3 wins better, there is no positive here for us.

With the draft pick going to St. Louis...pretty much.

Milwaukee over 80.5 is tempting.

Yeah, but those projections were nuts, no one believes that Kyle Lohse is really a sub-3.00 ERA ace. They see him for what he is, a mid-rotation 34 year old SP. I think Boras did a very good job getting 3 years at 8 figures per year. Lohse's flyball ways are a bad match for Miller Park.

Kind of on topic considering divisional team's rotations, I think the one weakness that the Reds (who I still think is the clear division favorite) may run into this year is SP depth. Unless they can repeat last year's extremely rare of feat of getting the rotation through the entire season injury-free and with the recent news that Chapman will go back to the bullpen after trying him out as a start in the spring, there doesn't appear to be a whole lot there if they run into an injury or two. Still, their 1-2 is as good as anyone's in the league.

I think he got a lot more than he's going to be worth, and that's without taking the pick into accout.
