What were the radar gun readings on him yesterday? It seems that has been the major issue with him, was the inexplicable loss in velocity. I guess he has a quirky delivery they have been tinkering with.

I was at one brief time, excited about Alderson. That was a very long time ago. If he ever makes the MLB, cool. If not, oh well. Still a good trade at the time I think.

Considering that the other guy the Pirates were after (and the fans wanted) was one Jonathan Sanchez and that he's now on the team with a minor league deal after flaming out... yeah.

I just wasn't expecting to see Freddy Sanchez net us a top 5 prospect from any team. Panned out or not, it's trade you gotta make every time.
