Bobby Crosby was also cut by the Brewers.

Was about to comment that perhaps those moves speak well of the Buccos' roster since the Cards and the Brewers had guys like that on their spring training rosters this late buuuuut ...

Brad Hawpe and Brandon Inge.

Cedeno signed by Houston and will be their starting SS. He has a chance to start for a team worse than the 105 loss 2010 Pirates.

Hawpe was released yesterday. Your keyboard is saved the pounding!

Funny how two years ago the Houston media were saying how bad Clint Barmes was and we go and sign him, while they now have our shortstop for those years.

Barmes had a decent year for Houston. I wonder what the media was watching.

he and Bill Hall, the other "over the hill" free agent signing", kind of became the whipping boy for the Astros complete fire sale before McClane sold the team to Jim Crane

Fans, and the associated media with their teams, seem to need a whipping boy. Esp if the team underperforms...

I really believe the Bucs would have been better off last year going with Cedeno at a fraction of the cost of Barmes.
