This has to be what Dan Patrick was talking about last week on his radio show. Not sure that it is Armageddon but . . . please, please, please MLB . . . go after Braun and his lawyer with everything you've got. I would love to see his world unravel around him.

I'm not a Braun fan. At all. But I have to say that his explanation actually seems pretty believable in this instance:

Anyone that has to do this much "explaining" is in trouble. Where there is smoke there is almost always fire.

My point is that I don't even see smoke here. The only "smoke" concerns the prior charge and positive test. And that's plenty of smoke for me. Braun's inclusion on Bosch's list because he consulted with Bosch about his appeal makes perfect sense and doesn't add to what we already know about Braun.

Then why is Braun's name on the same paper as the names of Melky and A-Rod? Did they too consult with Bosch with respect to an appeal? Braun's inclusion on that paper does not jive with the notion that he merely sought advise from Bosch with respect to his appeal.

Melky and A-Rod's names appear in different parts of the ledger, including next to specific drugs. Braun's name appears next to an entry relating to payment of $20-30,000 and does not appear next to the names of any drugs.

Please tell me how the ledger includes ANY evidence suggesting that Braun received drugs from Bosch.

To wit:

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ryan-braun ... 50670.html

Braun is on a list that includes Alex Rodriguez, Melky Cabrera and Cesar Carrillo, who the New Times reported received PEDs from Bosch. Also on the list are New York Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli and Baltimore Orioles third baseman Danny Valencia, who weren't listed near PEDs either.

So Rodriguez, Cabrera, and Carrillo are listed on the ledger next to drugs, but the list on which Braun's name appears includes two other players whose names, like Braun's, did not appear on the ledger next to the names of drugs.

I happen to believe that Braun cheated and legitimately failed that drug test a year ago. But I don't think the fact that his name, and the name of the lawyer who represented him in his appeal of the failed test, appear in a Biogenesis ledger means he received drugs from them. His story makes sense.

I wish I could get $20-30,000 for "consulting". That payment is the smoke....

I deal with consultants a lot. That's cheap, my friend.

It's plausible.

Now it's just $1500 for consulting.

I also deal with consultants quite a bit.

The issue here is that I pay substantial money to a highly thought-of and ranked consultant, but not to a low-level douchebag.

Bosch ranks with the latter, not the former.

LOL he had no story this time, just "no comment".

I have no idea why people choose to believe these guys excuses. If Lance can be taken down anyone can.

Braun already tested positive. This new evidence just corroborates what we already knew. But I do hope somehow enough evidence surfaces that he gets suspended.

It amazes me that guys like Braun, who already possesses enough talent to be a great player in the league would stoop to this level of cheating, thus removing any chance of post career accolades. At least players in the current watching players from the past being turned away.
