For those who care, it looks like Cutch may win. He's up about 17,000 votes on C.C. Sabathia and voting closes at 8:00 p.m. tonight.

wow..and I was all but certain not to buy it this year. I buy The Show and then TW and NHL comes out and I play those incessantly. Oh well, it's worth $60 to have it and maybe get Cutch to sign it this year.

Fortunately, it looks like there is no Madden-style curse outside of Joe Mauer getting hurt in 2011. In fact, many hitters enjoyed some great seasons when appearing on the cover (Ryan Howard - 2008, David Wright - 2007, and David Ortiz - 2006.) Adrian Gonzalez did have a bit of a down season by his standards last year, but still hit almost .300.

The Madden curse didn't hold true this season. Calvin Johnson was on the cover.
