The Bucs have two days to decide on Barajas's contract option at $3.5 million. Can you imagine the firestorm if they pick that one up? :D

If they sign Barajas then F this team. I would almost guarantee if they did they would say it is as a backup but the first time McKenry had a 10 game slump or some other trivial reason Hurdle would overly involve Barajas. Rod is not progress, getting better, doing all you can do.

If Tony Sanchez is ready defensively, I have no problem with him platooning with McKenry to start the season. Can he really be worse offensively than Rod?
