I have been on this guy all year, but the bottom of the ninth yesterday deserves some recognition. He kept us in the game when Joel couldn't find the plate. Serveral blocks in the dirt and several high ones which could have tied the game. Here's to you Rod.

Yeah props to Rod Barajas, he is .200 batting average is 50 digits lower then his 250lb weight.
But hey the guy is throwing out 7% of guys running against him...hmmm didn't everyone knock on Ryan Doumit's inability to throw out runners? Pretty sure he was better then this bum, making his 4 million dollars. Nice signing Huntington.

Doumit is a worse defensive catcher than Rod and Doumit couldn't call a,game to save his life.

The Twins, an organization far superior to our beloved Pirates, disagrees. I'm pretty sure I'll take their word over people on a message board.

Have you seen how bad the twins pitchers are when he catches? I mean, they are bad in general.

Sorry, there's no way you can get me to miss Doumit's defense.

IA, Doumit has been shown by several studies to be the worst defensive C in MLB, he was dead last in pitch framing, terrible with PB/WP, and bad all around. Come on now, the issue with him has always been the offense/defense tradeoff. The Twins are playing him at C some (54g) for his bat in their woeful lineup.

Doumit made 3 errors in one inning recently playing left field for the Twins.

He wouldn't be playing left field for the 2012 Pirates.

If you are correct in this then he doesn't have any errors the rest of the season. Not bad I'd say.

Kind of.

Those are his first three errors IN LEFT FIELD. Limited playing time, 15 games.

Two MLBers have committed three errors in a single inning this season. Former Bucco Ryan Doumit, and ... former Bucco Brandon Moss.

Yes, and five errors total. Without looking I'm sure there are plenty of Buccos with more errors than this.
