Anybody's game with a bullpen like ours here lately. Offense looks good. Steelers d doesn't look good early.

WTF.

What's the point of calling up Morris and McP if we're just going to use some Dutch BP pitcher and/or overuse Hughes???

I don't get Vanderhurk...he throws mid-90's with great movement. You'd figure he would have more success.

Hughes has to have a dead-arm. He has been overused this year and needs a break.

I knew that blowing a 6-1 lead and 9-5 lead had to be Hurdle's fault.

McPherson is in the rotation now, so that is why he wasn't called upon.

For all their success compiling a successful makeshift each of the last two years, the Bucs have also seen that makeshift 'pen fall apart in the second half and it may well be the difference.

Frustrating.

The last six weeks of dreadful baseball summed up in the top of the 7th. Leadoff triple, no clutch hitting and running themselves out of the inning with Little League baserunning.

Oh well, maybe we can be 20 games over .500 next year and then make it 21 seasons of not finishing with a winning record.

Let's see... Every starter gets a hit, Marte had 3 hits, Pedro has a 5 RBI game, Barajas hits a homerun, we have 6-1 and 9-5 leads, and we still lose by 4. To the Cubbies.

I'm beginning to think that maybe our true MVP was Brad Lincoln. Our entire pitching staff really hasn't been the same since he left.

That's a heartbreaking loss. One evident of a non-playoff team. We have good young players. In time.

Which players are you calling good and young? If you can list more than a couple then the standards for good have slipped on this club.

I think a more apt description would be a club full of wildly streaky inexpensive players with an inability to perform under pressure.

Mccutchen, walker, Alvarez, Jones, marte, Snider, Sanchez. They all might not be allstars. They'll perform in time. This is their first crack at a pennant race.
