I wish we had Doumit/McKenry platoon this season. I'm not saying this in hindsight, I've been saying this from day one. Doumit has been hitting very well this season and has thrown out 7 of 33 baserunners. He has had rave reviews from Twins management and the fans.

I don't think that there was a bigger Doumit fan on this board than me. Having said that, I just don't think that he would have had the success this year in Pittsburgh that he has had in Minnesota. The Twins utilize him much better than the Pirates did. Nearly 50 games at DH, 21 games in the OF, and 53 games (50 starts) at C. Keep his body fresh and the bat will produce. His health and body require him to be in the AL.

Any FA Catchers this offseason which might warrant a look?

McKenry has clearly played himself into a platoon solid #2 role and Barajas, well...

Is it Tony Sanchez or bust in 2013, or...?

Our pitching staff would have struggled big time with him.

Minnesota has its own problems starting with large contracts. I was a doumit fan as well but wasn't sad to see him go. The bucs will find a catcher this offseason. Yes Sanchez's time is running out.

Are there any decent lefty hitting catchers out there. I would love to see a McKenry-??? repeat of Spanky-Don Slaught. I think McKenry can be very effective catching 40-70 games against lefties.
