Since September roster expansion, no need to DL anymore. Said he felt good after simulated game, maybe pinch twitting duty?

Bucs are 4-10 since he last played.

And his bat could have swung at least two of those games.

Hasn't anyone here ever had a back injury? It isn't predictable, back spasms can persists with no apparent trigger. That said, it seems like they are hoping for tomorrow.

This is no coincidence. I think he brings a kind of quiet leadership to this team.

They were 4-9 before that 4-10 stretch. How many of those games did he miss?

Gotta be some kind of conspiracy, because I don't know exactly what is wrong with Walker's back. Or when he's coming back.

I want to see the MRI!

Pravda.

Not saying his absence explains the second 4-10, just saying it didn't help not having him.

It's probably likely that he could have turned any of those 1-2 run games into a win.

Pray that you never have back problems. You can set them off by sneezing, or bending over to pet the dog, or from trying to move a refrigerator, and there is no telling how long it will take for them to go away. Could be hours, could be weeks, and there isn't a damn thing anyone can do to help you out.

Courtesy of Biertempfel -

Neil Walker (lower back pain) is not in the lineup again today. “The day off did me a lot of good,” Walker said. “We’re going to see how batting practice goes today. Hopefully, all goes well and I’ll be available to pinch-hit today and we’ll see where it goes from there.” Walker said his rehab process has focused on core- and leg-strengthening exercises. “We’re close now,” he said. “Since it’s a back issue, I want to be very, very sure before I go back on the field.” Walker has seen two back specialists. “They both told me, ‘It’s off how you feel.’ So when I started to take batting practice from both sides and when I went against (Jeff) Karstens (Tuesday in a sim game), the days after those events were the big days for me and I didn’t feel great after doing both of those. I’ll take batting practice today and we’ll see where I go from there.”
