Not sure why its not a direct link. In the 20 games after the 19 inning games, pirates are 5-15 in both seasons. Batting average was .236 in 11 and .237 in 12. Runs PG in 11 was 3.6 and 3.7 this season.

I was thinking about this over the weekend - just how weird it is that another 19 inning game came right before the nosedive this year too. Baseball can be strange. Hopefully its just strange enough to allow us to get hot when Walker returns this weekend.

The writing was on the wall before the 19 inning game. Awesome baseball was played leading into the All Star break. Afterwards, pretty crappy baseball has been played.
