How about some love for Wandy? Great job putting up clean innings after getting the lead. Had the breaking ball and change up really working.

I don't care where he hits in the lineup as long as he's in there. Our option at short is God awful and I suppose its taken the organization all year to figure that out. While I'm on it please release barajas. Following bedard wouldn't be a bad thing. Call up Sanchez.

Barmes: .248/.279/.333 since the break....not GREAT but not GOD AWFUL....combined with his D i'll take it.

As for Barajas, his hitting is god awful....but if AJ needs him....he stays

Barmes isn't a quality shortstop. Get that through your head. Hack away barmes

.279 obp is God Awful

His season obp of .246 is worse than God Awful

First thing I saw, too.

I guess Clint can't get enough of that black hole at the bottom of the lineup. Whem Barmes and/or Tabata plays, Barajas MUST play, and so on.

Heaven forbid the best 9 play...

When does Marte return?!

Don't know why you included Tabata, he's batting 261 with a 346 on base since coming back.

Because I screwed up as usual. It should have been Harrison and Tabata.

Point is, the Bucs never start their 'best nine' hitters. There seems to always be one, 'why is he in the lineup tonight?!' guy.

Just followed this one sporadically.

Why was Wandy lifted after only 7 innings and 85 pitches???

Understatement of the year.

Don't know, he looked very sharp. I would at least have gotten him out there for the 8th and see what happens. Maybe Resop needed some work?

BTW, any word on how bad Snyder's injury is? Looked like he re-injured his hammy scoring on Cutch's double.

...seemingly game in hand. Lots of pitchers available. Get him out of there with another very positive start.

They really didn't say how bad it was...just that he re-aggravated it a little. I like him a lot, but I would hold him back for a few days, especially if Marte is coming back. We need him strong down the stretch.

Wandy's Bucco stats now -

In seven starts (8 games) for the Pirates, he has compiled a 3-4 record, a 3.50 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and a 28/17 K/BB ratio over 46 1/3 innings.

And shutouts in his last two games!

Great to get a win last night. Really need another tonight, and at least 2 of 3 from the Cubs.
