Pads beat Braves tonight, taking 2 of 3 from them. You know, they made the Bucs look bad, but maybe that's nothing to be ashamed of. Padres playing some good baseball. They are 9-1 in their last 10 games.

I'm hoping the Phillies do some work against the Braves (ugh Phillies) in the upcoming series. Anything to make that last series against the Braves meaningful so we can host that Wild Card game (yeah I know it's overly optimistic).

I loathe the Braves for obvious reasons. The Padres have been playing really good ball.

The point is...there has been so much doom and gloom here over the past couple of weeks.

With about a month to go in the season, the Bucs are ONE GAME OUT OF A PLAYOFF SPOT. Regardless of what happened the past couple weeks, how can any Pirate fan NOT BE HAPPY with that. ONE STINKIN' GAME!!!! Who saw that coming back in April?

This means that as long as they keep hanging around, the Bucs will be playing meaningful games right up to the end of the season. Enjoy it Pirate fans. Be happy. Be proud. I know I am!

Go Bucs.

The Padres also have six games left against the Dodgers, who are 1/2 a game behind the Bucs in the WC race. Goooooo Padres.

You know - I think that's where my "content" point is now. Just .500 is a bit of a letdown but playoffs or bust may be a bit much. So - I just want the Bucs to be playing meaningful games down to the end.
