Thinking about finally purchasing a full-season subscription this year. I've only caught the free games here and there in the past and was really impressed with the quality, and I think I'm pretty content with the price given that I'm an out of town fan and my only exposure to televised games are when we get the MLB package free the first week of the season and the week after the all-star break, plus a few Cubs games on WGN.

I guess I'm just curious to see how subscribers like it, think it's worth the cost, etc. I also recently discovered that they archive the games to rewatch at any time, correct?

I don't know about the rewatch part, but I can vouch for MLB.tv. It amazes me that the NHL can't put together something similar. I split MLB.tv with a friend and it's worth every penny. If I had to, I'd pay the full fee.

I watch through the PS3 when I'm at home (I live in South FL so I too am out of market) and it's basically a standard HD broadcast.

It's well worth it, I've got it each of the last 3 years and already have it for this season..

I've never had any problems with the quality. You can rewatch any game at any time throughout the year and with the live games you get DVR functionality which is a really nice feature. I market games show up 3 hours after they finish and after that you can also watch those at any time..

Love it. I can have the game on my iPhone, my iPad, or my computer. Flawless picture with a decent cellular signal. Great stuff.

I live in Tulsa and get the baseball, football and hockey packages. It's the only way to go.

Supercharge Ape, not sure why you wish the NHL had a similar package, they do. I've been getting it for years on Direct tv.

I meant like a NHLtv.com type app. Do you need DirecTV? I have Comcast.

And I was told that all NHL online offerings are awful and not worth the money, but hey, that's just what I was told.

For me, it was the 17-37 finish.

That would be funnier if it wasn't true...

Thanks for the input, guys. I think I'm going to finally spring for the full package this year.

$109 for full season.

You must be getting some kind of loyalty discount or something for that DirecTV deal ... I'm seeing that it's listed at $199.95.

With any of the packages, you can negotiate a lower price. Just threaten to cancel and ask if that is the best price... been doing it for years. 8-) 8-)
